Let me simply say that there is no painting more inspiring and
beautiful to me than the sky. There is also a certain beauty to the
city, even with all it's dirt and graffiti. I honestly feel that we
have the greatest work of art in front of our eyes all the time
without noticing. The characters on the street are more colorful and
dramatic than I've seen in any play. I love the way that rails on the
railroad sing and hum, and the jazzy beat of the ticket machine. I
think with most of our art we are simply trying hopelessly to match
the indescribable majesty and infinite detail of the world which was
given to us.
I've called God "the Great Scientist" before, but I think he's also
earned the title "The Greatest Artist"
